Privacy policy
What Poker Mahal keeps about you, and why.
Poker Mahal is a play-money poker room on the web and on Android. Chips have no cash value. We take no payments, and we do not sell or rent anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
- From Google, when you sign in: your name, e-mail address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
- Your play: the hands you play (your cards, your actions, the result), your chip balance and every movement of it, the rewards you claim, and the tables you mark as favourites.
- What you write: community chat messages, suggestions and bug reports, and reports you make about other players.
- Your settings: table preferences, which follow your account between devices.
- Your friends: who you asked, who accepted, and — if you arrived through a friend's invitation link — whose link it was.
What the Android app keeps on your phone
- A sign-in token, encrypted with the phone's own key store, so you stay signed in. The app never sees your password; signing in happens in your browser.
- Your view, sound and reminder settings, on the phone only.
The app does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files, and it has no advertising.
Why
- To run the game: seat you, deal fairly, and keep your chips right.
- To prove fairness: every hand's shuffle is published as a hash before the deal and revealed after, and the hand record is what lets anyone check it.
- To keep the room safe: reports, the automatic suspension rule and our moderators rely on it.
- To answer you when you write to us.
Who else sees it
- Other players see your display name, your picture, your chips at a table and the cards you show.
- Google handles sign-in.
- Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf.
- Our e-mail provider carries your suggestion or bug report to the team when you send one.
No one else. Nothing is sold.
Cookies
One to keep you signed in, and — only if you arrived through a friend's invitation link — one that remembers whose link it was, for thirty days. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete it, your name, e-mail, picture, sign-ins, friends, favourites, settings and chat words are removed. The chip record, your hands (with the name you used then) and any reports or suspensions stay, under an anonymous number: other players' records and the fairness record depend on them, and a suspension must not disappear with an account.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time, from Settings on the website or Profile in the app.
- Change your display name and preferences in Settings.
- Mute anyone in chat; mutes stay on your device.
Age
Poker Mahal is for adults: you must be 18 or over to play.
